Dilemma

I am torn, I really want to write about Arsenal because we are doing so well and we thoroughly deserve this (although as I am typing, we are losing to Bournemouth). But on the other hand…Nigeria. So I am like...

A part of me wants to get my excitement about Arsenal whilst we are still top of the table, because when am I gonna get this chance again, after all the sufferings and banter? But, Nigeria.

Goddammit.

Might as well get Nigeria off my chest, and hopefully move on to Arsenal, who are still losing to Bournemouth (That is the level they are now, I am getting upset that they have not overturned the scores yet).

I don’t know a lot about Nigerian politics, I don’t think anyone can actually claim to understand it because clearly these niggas are just making it up as they go. There is zero evidence to suggest that Peter Obi or Atiku would perform better than Tinubu. Zero. I still remember what twitter was like in 2015, when it was Buhari against GEJ, and everyone was riding Buhari’s dick because “anyone but GEJ”. This is not a I told you situation, I was riding Buhari’s dick too. I am just saying that the bar in Nigerian politics is so low, and they consistently find a way to lower it that at the end of the day people always have to choose who they think the lesser evil is.

That being said, if I owned a company that is in financial trouble and I am tasked with choosing a new CEO to lead the company out of trouble from Tinubu, Atiku and Peter Obi. My first question would be towards the panel in charge of the screening process, because I need to understand how Tinubu made it past that stage, based solely on his physical appearance.

Let’s make the following assumptions about “BAT”:

1. He is a political genius.

2. He has the best interest on Nigeria and Nigerians at heart.

3. He is 70.

(Arsenal just conceded the second goal so all my eggs are in the Nigerian basket today)

Even if the 3 assumptions above are true, based on what everyone can see, he is frail and fragile. That enough is reason to write him off. We all saw the before and after picture of Obama that illustrates how stressful being a president is. Tinubu has not been elected president of a Scandinavian country. The job he has been elected to do, in the current state that the nation is in, has to be the most unattractive job in the world. I mean, would you take on the role of trying to fix Nigeria?

On paper, the next four years will be the most stressful years of Tinubu’s life. Anyone that cares about him should be telling him “Daddy, why are you doing this? There are less stressful ways to die

I cannot believe he is the new president men.

The most…dissappoin… I can’t say even disappointing because to be disappointed in someone you would have to rate them on some level to start with, the feeling I am trying to describe here is shame. I am ashamed of the people that voted for this guy, i.e Nigerian Baby Boomers.

I am older and wiser now, and I know better than to go off on Nigerian Baby Boomers because it will come across as ageist.

At this point in the blog, Arsenal has just scored with the last kick of the game, to come back from 2-0 and win 3-2. I sincerely can no longer pretend to give a shit about a 99 year old drug baron that was elected into the office by our bigoted parents!!!
